# Preloaded VIP tiers

> `Smile.vipTiers.preloaded()`

This method retrieves the preloaded VIP tiers from the cache, without making an API call. Refer to [preloading resources](/js/concepts/preloading) to learn how to refresh the value.

  For this method to return a value, VIP tiers must first be [preloaded](/js/concepts/preloading). If you want to retrieve live values from the API, use the [`Smile.vipTiers.get()`](/js/resources/vip-tiers/get) method instead.

## Returns

This method returns an array of [VIP tier objects](/js/resources/vip-tiers/object). If VIP tiers have not been preloaded, `null` is returned.
